Ministry of agriculture discusses cooperation with IFAD
Ministry of Agriculture discussed on Sunday with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) a number of projects funded by IFAD, mainly the second phase of agricultural resources management in southern governorates.
Secretary General of the ministry Radi Tarawneh said it was importance to find new ways to support and empower a large number of families in these governorates.
The two sides discussed agricultural development and food security in rural areas in addition to fighting poverty and unemployment. The IFAD will present a $3 million grant to finance a bio-diversity project and transfer technology to fight climate change.
